Abstract : According to KEMENKES Number 1250 (2009) gap (shutter) efficiency testing of X-ray tube collimator must be tested every 6 months, meanwhile in the Radiology unit of the RSUD Dr. Soedirman Kebumen, the last test was carried out in 2017, at Sleman Hospital and RSUD dr. Soetijono Blora the test has never been done since the purchase of x-ray tube. This study aims to determine the efficiency of shutter collimator by the presence or absence of leakage from the collimator gap of the X-ray tube. The type of research is quantitative descriptive with observational approach conducted from January to February 2019. The object of the research was five X-ray tube. Data collection is obtained by observation, measurement and documentation. The results showed that all X-ray tube that have been tested have a malfunction collimator, which means the shutter of x-ray tube did not work properly, indicated by the appearance of blacking or leakage in the film from the transverse side. This result did not meet with the standard reference stipulated in RI Minister of Health Decree No. 1250 / SK / XII / 2009 which states that if there is no leakage or blackening on the film, the shutter can be declared to function efficiently or effectively. In order to maintain the equipment in optimal condition, it should be repaired and monitored periodically, as well as x-ray tube leakage test.
