Abstract: Hysterosalpingography (HSG) examination in primary infertility cases at Klaten Islamic Hospital using Anteroposterior projection (AP) after insertion of contrast media in 2 stages, namely insertion of 5 cc stage one contrast media and 10 cc input in the second stage. Data collection methods used are observation (observation), interviews, and documentation.

The results showed that the HSG examination only used AP projection after the inclusion of 5 cc contrast media in the first stage, contrast media filled the uterine cavity and fallopian tubes but not optimal yet. In the second stage of the AP projection after the inclusion of 10 cc contrast media, contrast media has filled the uterine cavity and the right and left fallopian tubes and has revealed spill or spillage of contrast media from the tube into the cavity. AP projection after inserting contrast media in 2 stages is quite informative in revealing spill in the fallopian tube.
